So I got an email from the Peace Corps and it gave me a link to a youTube video interviewing some people from Paraguay on their Peace Corps experience. It is filmed in country, on site, so it will give you an idea of what kind of environment i'll be in! It is very interesting and I encourage you all to watch it! Time is getting so much closer to my departure, I leave in 12 days!! But i'm really looking forward to some good Tishra time this weekend, as well as seeing my bestest college girlies!! Getting things ready
So now I wait. I have my assignment in Paraguay doing a rural health and sanitation extension. I dont know where I will be living for the two years yet, but I will find out during my three month training in Guarambare, which is a town south of the capital, Asuncion. I have my pre-departure orientation in Miami on February 8th and will be leaving for Paraguay on the 9th! So until then I am trying to talk to and get together with as many friends and family possible before I leave! More to come... hope everyone will follow my blog while i'm gone!
